Admissions - Dual Enrollment

Before you apply, complete the questionnaire on the Admissions home page! That will give you the correct application type!

If you’re a current high school student interested in taking classes at Pellissippi State to earn college credit while also satisfying high school credit requirements, you’re a Dual Enrollment student. Students can enroll in college-level courses that are taught at their high school or attend classes at one of our campuses.

Students are eligible if they have an unweighted high school GPA of at least 3.0 and if they have certain test scores.

 

  1. Apply to attend Pellissippi State as a Dual Enrollment student.

As part of the application process, you’ll need to provide the following documents to Spencer Joy, Dual Enrollment specialist:

  • Proof of Hepatitis B immunization (a parent’s signature in blue or black ink is required)
  • Your ACT, PreACT, SAT or PSAT scores
  • A copy of your current high school transcript

 

  1. Check myPellissippi often during the enrollment process.

Within 48 hours of completing your application to Pellissippi State, you will receive an email with information about myPellissippi. myPellissippi is your personal online account with Pellissippi State, and it is where we will send all of your notices about registering for classes and checking your account balance, including your TSAC Dual Enrollment Grant, seeing your final grades and requesting your college transcripts.

The first time you log in, you will need to change your password. Your first password is always a capital “P” followed by your student ID number and the “#” sign. This password will only work once. The first time you log in, change your password to something unique and memorable. If you have issues, call HelpDesk at 865-694-6537.

 

  1. Apply for the Dual Enrollment grant through Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation for the academic year in which you plan to enroll.

 

  1. Pay remaining balance.

Once all of previous steps are completed — including registering for classes — the college will credit Dual Enrollment students' accounts after registration. Dual Enrollment students must pay any remaining balance not covered by the grant by the Schedule Confirmation and Fee Deadline. Students may set up a payment arrangement with the Cashier if needed. If you do not pay fees or set up a payment arrangement by the Schedule Confirmation and Fee Deadline, your schedule will be dropped.
