Advising

Academic advising can help you start your college experience on the right foot, and can help keep you on track to achieve your academic goals and graduate. Our advisors will help you clarify your academic goals, provide accurate information about your degree and certificate options, and assist you in the development of an academic plan.

Pellissippi State offers two types of degree pathways:

  • Career programs let you earn an associate degree and quickly enter the workforce
  • Transfer programs let you earn an associate degree that is made to transfer to a four-year university

Pellissippi State also offers certificates which let you acquire quick training in certain skills.

If you are a degree-seeking student, then you are required to meet with an academic advisor. Your advising requirements may change depending on the type of student you are.
