Engineering

Pellissippi State Community College has many of the science, mathematics, and general education courses needed for the engineering programs throughout the State of Tennessee.  Courses taken here will transfer into the engineering programs at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Tennessee Technological University, University of Memphis, and Tennessee State University.

Students may choose to complete their Associate of Science degree at PSCC or to transfer to the four year institution at any time during their academic program.  Both choices have advantages and a student should consult with his/her academic advisor to determine the best choice.  For example, the State of Tennessee is currently offering a $1500 per year scholarship for students who are transferring to the University of Tennessee with an Associate of Science Degree from a TBR institution. The scholarship is available to the student for two years. If a student does pursue an associate of science degree, additional courses are required such as speech, literature and history.   The student should complete a degree audit (using the General Associate of Science option) available in their myPellissippi account.

Transfer guides are available for students interested in transferring to The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Tennessee Technological University. Students interested in other schools should obtain a copy of the receiving institution's catalog and an equivalency table (if available) to determine course requirements.
