From classical and jazz to bluegrass and choral, Pellissippi State's Music Program offers an eclectic mix of traditional favorites and modern selections. All performances are free and take place in the beautiful Clayton Performing Arts Center on the Hardin Valley Campus.

Faculty Recital

Our concert series kicks off with a showcase of talented full-time and adjunct Music faculty members.

Fall Choral Concert

Performers include our student groups Concert Chorale and Variations Ensemble, as well as selected student soloists.

Instrumental Concert

Thursday, November 7, 7:00 p.m.

The season’s first performance to focus exclusively on instrumentals, this concert offers a wide range of genres and styles.

Holiday Spectacular

Thursday, December 5, 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Our musical holiday celebration is a fan favorite—so much so that we offer guests a choice of two performance times.

Spring 2014

Winter Choral Concert

Our concert series returns in the spring with a showcase featuring two local high school choirs as special guests.

Student Honors Recital

Thursday, March 6, 7:00 p.m.

Pellissippi State shines the spotlight on its best student performers taking private instruction in voice or instrument.

Jazz and Bluegrass Concert

Thursday, March 27, 7:00 p.m.

A perennial favorite, this concert brings together Hardin Valley Thunder, the College’s bluegrass ensemble, and the Pellissippi State Jazz Band.

Instrumental Concert

Thursday, April 24, 7:00 p.m.

With the focus exclusively on instrumental music, this performance boasts a mix of music that is guaranteed to offer something for everyone.

Spring Choral Concert

Thursday, May 1, 7:00 p.m.

The season concludes with performances by two student vocal groups, Concert Chorale and Variations Ensemble, who share a multimedia presentation of their Spring Break 2014 tour.
