Designated as one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast for 2009
The sixth annual Pellissippi State Hot Air Balloon Festival brings balloonists from across the country to participate in the festival, which also features live music and entertainment, children's activities, food, arts and crafts vendors, and tethered balloon rides.
This year's festival offers a variety of music choices. Taking the main stage courtesy of sponsor WIVK radio is Fast Ryde, a hot new country duo with a just-released song on Billboard's Top 40 country singles chart. Band members James Harrison (who has Knoxville ties) and Jody Stevens write and produce their own music.

The Hot Hare balloon! The Energizer Bunny balloon will be celebrating his 20th birthday as he delights folks all around the country with his high flying antics (more).
- A balloon "glow" each evening (weather permitting)
- The Ultimate Canines - a rockin' dog sport and comedy show.
- Einstein and Friends - Keep your eyes and ears open as Einstein the Grey Parrot and her animal friends show us just how amazing they are.
- Alumni Reunion for Pellissippi State classes of 1979, 1989 and 1999.
ADMISSION:
$10 per day for a vehicle pass to the event. Walk-ons will be charged $5.
