The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at Pellissippi State Technical Community College was created to provide in-depth, high-quality, confidential assistance, advice and training to small business owners and those who want to start their own businesses. Most of these services continue to be provided at no cost to the client!

Pellissippi State's Small Business Development Center has offices located in the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership building in Knoxville, TN; the Blount County Chamber of Commerce building in Maryville, TN; and the Oak Ridge Chamber building in Oak Ridge, TN.

Counseling services are free and confidential and can cover such issues as preparation of business plans; record keeping and accounting; government procurement; financial planning; sales and marketing; international trade; transportation and distribution. Counseling services are available for individuals, small businesses, and for-profit organizations.

Training consists of free or low-cost workshops, seminars and teleconferences.

Resource centers include how-to-books, video/audio tapes, computers and business software, CD-ROM databases and Internet access.

The TSBDCs have no funds for lending, but can assist with financial planning, budgeting and locating local capital resources for your business. All consultants are knowledgeable about SBA loan requirements and programs.
