Joy Morris, author of, For The Love Of It, the heart of the actor, has 28 years experience in teaching The Eric Morris Technique. Eric is the author of, No Acting Please, Irreverent Acting, and many others. In this class, Joy combines The Morris Technique and her own ACE COURSE for an exciting, intense study.

More Than the Usual Card-Making Workshop
Join in for an evening of fun as we learn to make all-occasion cards that you can take home and use next time you have a birthday or other event come up. We'll make 8-10 cards while you learn techniques that add beauty and pizzazz. We'll use stamping, embellishments, folding, and a few other neat techniques. You will leave with cards and envelopes in hand to use next time you need a card. Bring a paper trimmer if you have one, adhesive, and scissors. Everything else will be provided for you. Sue Painter owns The Scrapbook Spirit and is a graduate of Scrapbook Design University, Creating Keepsakes University, and has trained with the top U.S. paper artists.

Wire Jewelry Design
Utilizing jewelry wire wrapping techniques using sterling silver square wire and various stones, this class will present basic techniques that can be used to create jewelry out of almost any stone or other irregular shaped object. Make lovely jewelry for yourself or for gifts. We will create at least one pendant during class. Instructor Karen Brown teaches jewelry making and has sold her jewelry creations at various Knoxville shops. Her pieces have also been on display at the Emporium and the Phoenix Building in downtown Knoxville. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction as well as certification in Art Education.
A $12 material fee is payable to instructor at beginning of class

Working With Yarn
Learn the basics of either knitting or crochet and end up with a scarf in the process. This class will cover the elementary techniques of both knitting and crochet. Students will decide which skill to concentrate on and be introduced to numerous patterns using simple stitches on sample-sized pieces. Then the student will choose one of the stitches to produce a scarf by the end of the class. Monica Sternlieb has a degree in textile design, and she has taught classes and workshops in various textile techniques.
