Self-Help for Common Pain Patterns
The Yamuna Body Rolling method will be used to teach students how to stretch and compress muscle tissues in order to release pain-producing restrictions. Most common chronic pain (back, neck and shoulder, hips and thighs, etc.) can improve or be eliminated when tension and alignment are corrected. Yamuna Body Rolling is highly recommended for people with fibromyalgia. This easily learned method will demonstrate that people need not rely on anti-inflammatory drugs when simple self-care is consistently practiced. Each class will be taught as an active lab with skills practice, demonstrations, and individualized problem solving. The instructor is a certified instructor in this method and has 30 years experience as an occupational therapist as well as being a massage therapist. Optional body rolling kit ($49.99 + tax) is available for purchase the first night.
