Freshening Your Home Base NEW!
An overview of current design trends, this course is designed to give you the confidence needed to make informed decisions in your home decorating, remodeling or building projects, with a focused look at sustainable design within the home. We will address each area of the home, beginning with a brief look at exterior landscaping, a study of each interior space with special focus on the kitchen, and then address any specific problems the student may bring to class. Eco-friendly options and products will be introduced and explored in each of our discussions. We will also explore what 0-energy housing is, and discuss ways to make existing homes more energy efficient. You will develop an awareness of current colors, style, product trends, and green design as it can apply to residential spaces.

Parents, Children & Divorce
Approved 4-hour Parent Education Course for Tennessee Judicial District 5 (Blount County) and District 6 (Knox County). Parents must register for the class through Pellissippi State at 539-7167. Classes are typically offered once monthly on Thursday evenings at the Magnolia Avenue and Pellissippi Campuses, and Saturday mornings at the Pellissippi Campus. Instructors have a master's degree or better in a related field, such as social work or psychology, or are Rule 31 certified mediators.

Having difficulty getting your message across to family, friends, co-workers and those people on the other side of the fence? Learn how to engage with people so they are willing to hear you and find ways to express what matters so listeners can hear you. Instructor Marcia Walker studied Counseling Psychology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and is certified by The Coach Training Alliance.
