Spanish Conversation
This course, while not completely grammar-less, is designed to get the student into conversational situations immediately. Conversational needs for everyday encounters, travel and business are discussed and practiced. Vocabulary and phrases pertinent to individual situations will be part of the course material. The course is designed for students with some background in Spanish, but committed beginners can take the course and master the lesson materials with some extra effort.

Spanish Conversation II
Students must complete Spanish Conversation before enrolling in this course. This is an advanced course where reasonable knowledge of the Spanish language will be essential. The course will be given in the language and emphasis will be on spoken Spanish throughout the class sessions. Topics of study will include the compound tenses, subjunctive mode, and advanced vocabulary and phraseology used in today's modern Spanish.

Conversational Chinese for Beginners
Learn basic Chinese vocabulary, phrases, and useful expressions in daily conversations for different occasions. Speaking skills are emphasized. The course will also cover some Chinese writing and culture. Some objectives for the course include introducing yourself in Chinese, recognizing and writing some simple Chinese characters, understanding sentence structures and tones, and speaking Chinese for different occasions.
