Are you a home schooled student interested in attending college? Or are you looking to reconnect to higher education after time in the workforce?
Whatever your situation, Pellissippi State Community College has upcoming open houses to answer your questions.
Adult learners — or those students over age 24 — are invited to an open house from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 2. Home-schoolers and their parents or guardians may attend an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24. Both open houses will be held at the Hardin Valley Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road.
Although both events are free, those interested in attending the adult learner open house are asked to RSVP at www.pstcc.edu/adult, and those interested in attending the home-schooler open house are asked to RSVP at www.pstcc.edu/hsrsvp.
Each open house will allow prospective students to meet with representatives who can answer questions about Pellissippi State’s degree programs, admissions and financial aid.
At the home-school open house, parents and students can learn special information about Dual Enrollment, which allows high school juniors and seniors the chance to earn high school and college credit simultaneously for select courses. Attendees who are high school seniors will be entered into a drawing for a $250 scholarship to Pellissippi State, provided through the Pellissippi State Foundation. The Foundation supports student success by providing scholarships, new technology and equipment.
