From local talk radio host Hallerin Hilton Hill to “Hoola-Hoop Leadership” author and San Francisco resident Ron Hickey, the speakers slated for the “Living Life Beyond Limits” series at Pellissippi State Community College’s Magnolia Avenue Campus promise to bring interactive motivational discussions to the community.

Beginning Feb. 15, Pellissippi State and the Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center, located at the Magnolia Avenue Campus, will host four seminars designed to motivate attendees. All sessions are free and open to the public.

In the “Living Life Beyond Limits” series, attendees have the opportunity to listen to presentations by experienced motivational speakers. They also have a chance to engage with the speakers in question-and-answer sessions. The seminars are meant to be highly interactive, says Terry Schofield, the Heart of Knoxville career specialist who coordinated the speakers.

“All of the speakers are very interactive,” said Schofield. “This is not a series of top-down seminars, where one person does all of the talking. We want community members, students, faculty and staff to have fun and engage in dialogue with the presenters. Each person we’ve invited will help members of the audience look at their skills and look at the total picture of their support systems.”

The “Living Life Beyond Limits” series includes the following sessions:

  • February 15—“Who’s Holding Your Ladder?”
Presenter: Terry Schofield, Heart of Knoxville career specialist and co-author of “The Measures of a Complete Life”
  • February 22—“The Hoola-Hoop Paradigm”
Presenter: Ron Hickey, author of “The Hoola-Hoop Leadership Paradigm” and co-author of “The Measures of a Complete Life”
  • March 1—Living Above the Below”
Presenter: Alvin Nance, president and CEO of Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation
  • March 15—“Who Are You?”
Presenter: Hallerin Hilton Hill, host of “The Hallerin Hilton Hill Morning Show,” News Talk 98.7 radio

Presentations are 2-2:45 p.m. in the Community Room at the Magnolia Avenue Campus, 1610 E. Magnolia Ave.
