Is it time to make some changes in your life? What better way than to improve your basic skills and/or earn your GED?
The Adult Education Program at Pellissippi State Community College is here to help. We offer free basic skills and GED preparation using a variety of teaching strategies, including small classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring, small-group work, computer tutorials, videotapes and written materials.
Students often work at their own pace and, with the help of dedicated, caring teachers, reach their goals. Many adults are able to significantly improve their basic skills or earn a GED after only a few weeks of study.
The Adult Education Program is offered at two locations: the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road, in West Knoxville and the Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center at the Magnolia Avenue Campus, 1610 E. Magnolia Ave., in East Knoxville. Day and evening hours are available to accommodate working and family needs.
“Improving your education is a great gift to give yourself, one that often results in opening doors to a brighter and more satisfying future,” said Joan Newman, Adult Education supervisor.
