Chinese, publishing among non-credit courses at Pellissippi State this spring

Learn to converse in Chinese and publish your nonfiction book. Pellissippi State Community College is offering these and many other non-credit personal enrichment courses this spring.

Classes meet at the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road. Here is need-to-know information on the two courses:

“Chinese Conversation for Beginners”
March 24-April 28 (Thursdays), 7-9 p.m.; $95

Participants will learn basic Mandarin Chinese vocabulary, phrases and common expressions used in daily conversation. The course also covers some Chinese writing and culture. It is designed for students with little or no prior instruction in the language. A small materials fee is payable to the instructor.

“Publish Your Nonfiction Book Now!”
March 26 (Saturday), 9-noon; $55

A concise, three-hour course, this class shows new authors how to publish their nonfiction books quickly and inexpensively. Instructor Ron Mikels is a successful book author and writer for national health, religious and business publications.
