Pellissippi State hosts Common Academic Experience event at Blount campus

Pellissippi State Community College continues its Common Academic Experience series with English Professor Carol Luther’s presentation “Where are U in Utopia?” on Thursday, March 31.

The community is invited to the free event, which takes place 11-11:50 a.m. in the Auditorium of the college’s Blount County Campus, 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy. (U.S. 321).

The word “utopia” refers to a fictional place where inhabitants live in perfect happiness. Luther focuses on some of the utopias described in literature. The event is part of the college’s 2010-11 Common Academic Experience and ties in with the Common Book “The Geography of Bliss” by Eric Weiner.
