You’re interested in taking classes, or maybe you just want to see what’s going on at the new Blount County Campus.
Take a closer look during Pellissippi State Community College’s Blount County Campus Open House on April 18 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The college held its grand opening of the campus on Aug. 18.
“It’s really an opportunity for prospective students and the community – particularly anyone who didn’t get to attend the grand opening – to take the time to see what Pellissippi State Blount County Campus offers,” said Holly Burkett, assistant dean of the Blount County Campus.
Tour the two-story, 70,000 square foot building with its new classrooms, auditorium, art studio, library, science laboratories, courtyard and amphitheater. The college’s Nursing department plans a demonstration of its life-like “human simulators.”
Pellissippi State’s versatile Manufacturing Technology Lab will also be open. The lab offers short-term, affordable training and continuing education through the Business and Community Services Division.
The campus provides a wide-range of student support services and plans to have information tables and college representatives on hand for the open house. Prospective students can learn about admissions and financial aid, as well as services for students with disabilities.
The Blount County Campus is located at 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Parkway (U.S. 321). View http://www.pstcc.edu/blount_county to learn more or call (865) 981-5300.
