Pellissippi State Community College’s Blount County Campus is offering free computer training for beginners on Aug. 17 and 22.
The Tech Ready: Computer Basics workshops, which are open to the public, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, and 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22. All the workshops are in Room 177 of the campus, which is located at 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy.
“Many members of our community who would be classified as non-traditional students are hesitant to take classes because of their limited knowledge of computers,” said Lisa Robinson, Blount County Campus’ Educational Resources Center coordinator. “We hope that the free workshops will help ease some of that hesitation.”
