The Blount County Campus of Pellissippi State Community College will host its second annual Career Fair Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The fair brings together local companies offering new job opportunities and individuals seeking to fill those positions. The event is open to Pellissippi State students and community members.
Blount County is home to a diverse selection of existing and new companies, one reason the county has a lower unemployment rate than the state’s average. From 9 until noon, representatives of a variety of companies will be on hand to share information and speak with job seekers.
“Our campus is an amazing facility with abundant space for the fair,” said Holly Burkett, assistant dean of the Blount County Campus. “We’re excited to be able to offer this as a resource to our students and to local businesses and community members.”
Individuals attend the career fair for free, and no registration is required. The Blount County Campus is located at 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy.
