Open house at Pellissippi State Dec. 1

Pellissippi State Community College hosts “Pellissippi Preview,” an open house for prospective students of all ages, Thursday, Dec. 1, 6-8 p.m. The event takes place in the Goins Building College Center on the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road. Family members also are encouraged to attend.

Pellissippi Preview attendees will have the opportunity to talk to current students, faculty and staff, as well as tour the campus. Early in the evening, there will be a “browse session,” at which faculty and staff from different areas will discuss choosing a major, going through the admissions process, and applying for financial aid, including scholarships. Later, participants will attend informative presentations by Enrollment Services and Financial Aid.

High school seniors in attendance are eligible to win one of two $250 scholarships provided by the Pellissippi State Foundation. Pellissippi State has more than 11,000 students at its four sites: the Pellissippi Campus, Division Street Campus and Magnolia Avenue Campus in Knoxville and the Blount County Campus.
