Pellissippi State Community College’s Blount County Campus puts the environment and recycling at the center of the next presentation in the school’s Community Treasures Lecture Series.
The free event is 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the West Chevrolet Auditorium. The campus is located at 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy. (U.S. 321).
Featured speaker Jared Ziegler, education coordinator for Keep Blount Beautiful, will discuss recycling in Blount County and what residents can do for the environment. The community is encouraged to attend.
The campus’ Community Treasures Lecture Series features a once-a-month lecture that showcases the diverse knowledge of local residents. Each lecture is approximately 45 minutes to an hour, with time for questions and answers from the audience. Light refreshments are served.
