Five performances remain in Pellissippi State’s 2011-12 free concert series

Audiences can expect variety when they attend the last five performances of the 2011-12 Music Concert Series at Pellissippi State Community College. Remaining concerts include everything from choral presentations to jazz/bluegrass jams to instrumental ensembles.

All performances are offered at no charge. However, donations are always accepted at the door for the Pellissippi State Foundation on behalf of the Music Scholarship fund. During the 2010-11 academic year, the Foundation awarded more than 100 music-related scholarships to more than 80 Pellissippi State students.

All concerts take place in the Clayton Performing Arts Center on the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road. Plenty of free parking is available.

The following performances are scheduled for the remainder of the 2011-12 Pellissippi State Music Concert Series:

  • Feb. 21, 7 p.m.—Winter Choral Concert
  • March 1, 7 p.m.—Student Honors Recital
  • March 29, 7 p.m.—Jazz Band and Bluegrass Concert
  • April 12, 7 p.m.—Instrumental Ensemble Concert
  • April 26, 7 p.m.—Spring Choral Concert
