‘Books and more’ sale at Pellissippi State’s Blount County site benefits students

Get great deals on gently used books, CDs, DVDs, videos, vinyl records, magazines, calendars, puzzles and computer games at Pellissippi State Community College’s 30th annual Faculty Senate Book Sale.

Scheduled for Feb. 16 and 17 at the Blount County Campus, the sale offers most items ranging in price from 50 cents to approximately $4. Proceeds go to the Pellissippi State Foundation, which supports students by providing scholarships, new technology and equipment.

Funds raised at the sale are earmarked for the Faculty Senate Scholarship. The scholarship provides tuition and fees for full-time students who maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA and meet additional scholarship criteria. Since its inception, the Faculty Senate Book Sale has raised more than $94,000.

The two-day sale takes place not only in Blount County but also at each of Pellissippi State’s three other locations. Dates and times are as follows:

Blount County Campus, 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Feb. 16, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Feb. 17, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Division Street Campus, 3435 Division St., Knoxville, Feb. 16, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Feb. 17, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Magnolia Avenue Campus, 1610 E. Magnolia Ave., Knoxville, Feb. 16, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Feb. 17, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road, Knoxville, Feb. 22-23, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
