Pellissippi State honors veterans in Knox, Blount counties

Pellissippi State will honor veterans and their service and sacrifice this week with events all five of its campuses.

Blount County Campus

Nov. 11, 9:30 a.m. — William Blount High School Color Guard Flag Ceremony, First-Floor Lobby

Division Street Campus

Nov. 7-11 — Service Commemoration: Tribute to Veterans. Students are invited to sign a military seal that represents their service or the service of someone they know. The signed seals are to be grouped by branch of service on the wall.

Hardin Valley Campus

Nov. 7-11 — “Missing Man” Table Display & Veterans Photo Display, Goins Building Rotunda 

Nov. 11, 7:30-9 a.m. — Free Breakfast for Student, Faculty and Staff Veterans, Goins Building Cafeteria Annex

 Nov. 11, 7:30-9 a.m. — Live Streaming of Knoxville Veterans Day Parade, Goins Building College Center

 Nov. 11, 11 a.m. — Cake Reception with Speaker and Live Music, Goins Building College Center

Magnolia Avenue Campus

Nov. 11, 11:30 a.m. — Luncheon for Veterans, Community Room

Strawberry Plains Campus

Nov. 11, 9 a.m. — Flags for Veterans. Students are invited to plant an American flag in honor of our veterans’ service. Flags will be placed in designated areas leading up to the campus.

Nov. 11, 11 a.m. — Flag Ceremony and Performance by Carter High School choir
