KAT discount pass available to Pellissippi State students

Pellissippi State students can now travel around Knoxville at a discount.

Knoxville Area Transit is offering current Pellissippi State students a Higher Learning Semester Pass, which allows students to get to and from school. The passes cost $130 and are good for 130 days from first use.

Students are required to pay out of pocket for the bus pass, and they must show a student ID to both buy and use the pass.

The pass will allow students unlimited rides on any of KAT’s routes, including routes 13 and 31, which stop at the Division Street and Magnolia Avenue campuses, respectively, as well as on the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee van that stops at the Hardin Valley Campus twice a day.

Students can purchase a Higher Learning Pass at the Cashier’s Office at the Hardin Valley, Division Street and Magnolia Avenue campuses. Students at Blount County and Strawberry Plains also can purchase passes, and they will be sent from Hardin Valley.

For more information, call the Cashier’s Office at your campus, or visit www.pstcc.edu/finance/cashier.
