Blount County Academic Support Center

What is the Academic Support Center? It is a department within the college of Pellissippi State where all students can access a variety of services for academic support. These services are free of charge. Tutoring is offered in a variety of courses that are taught on the Blount County campus including all levels of college math, writing, biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Spanish, chemistry, and more. Tutoring is on a first-come, first-serviced basis; no appointment is needed. Our tutoring services are for currently enrolled (for credit) PSCC students.

The Writing Center provides individual tutoring and support in all English classes taught on the Blount County campus as well as reviewing writing assignments from other classes such as history, psychology and philosophy. Our tutors will help you with the mechanics of writing including sentence structure and paragraph development. Need help with citation? Our tutors can help you with that.

Need Computer Access? The Academic Support Center has six computers with access to instructional websites and software that students use for their classes. These computers are on a first-come, first-served basis and are for students who need tutoring assistance.

Hours of operation vary according to tutoring scheduling. Please check on the door to room 139, regular email announcements and the contact block on the right side of this page.

Please scan in using your PSCC ID.
