Degree and Certificate Offerings at the Blount County Campus

Pellissippi State Community College’s Blount County Campus is located off Lamar Alexander Parkway near Maryville, Alcoa and Friendsville. The campus boasts an amphitheater and walking trail and is home to nursing and computer labs and a manufacturing training center. On the Blount County Campus, you can complete certain degrees or certificates without ever leaving campus.

If you plan to earn your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year university — but you’re not sure what options you might pursue there — you can earn a general transfer degree. Completing one of these degrees will fulfill the general education requirements at a four-year university. However, that flexibility means that you’re responsible for ensuring that the courses you take will be accepted by the university you plan to attend.

General Associate of Arts

General Associate of Science

Additionally, the Blount County Campus offers a common core of courses for prospective K-5 teachers, consisting of an introduction to teaching and technology courses and to standards-based mathematics and science courses. The Associate of Science in Teaching degree allows students to transfer to any Tennessee Board of Regents university as a junior, without loss of credits.

Associate of Science in Teaching

Tennessee Transfer Pathway programs are designed to seamlessly transfer to Tennessee Board of Regents or University of Tennessee institutions. Students who complete a TTP program will earn an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree with a concentration in their area of study. Those areas of study count toward a four-year university major in that same area.
