Political Science
Analysis of politics and political systems in various countries. Topics include
model states; democratic, authoritarian, and totalitarian states; political
socialization and participation; political leadership; public policy; international
relations; and revolution, terrorism, and war.
This course provides an introduction to U.S. government and politics focusing
on citizen participation and governmental institutions. Topics include the
Constitution, federalism, civil liberties and civil rights, voting, the media, parties
and groups, public opinion, Congress, the presidency, the federal bureaucracy,
and the courts.
