Pellissippi State offers high-quality, short-term training in the form of certificate programs. Individual programs are designed for working students who wish to upgrade their skills or gain additional certification in a particular area. An institutional certificate program is also a college credit program, one from which, upon completion, the student receives a certificate of completion from the College. Students desiring to enroll in a certificate program should apply for admission as a special student and indicate on the application the certificate program in which they wish to enroll. The placement test and/or academic development courses are not required of students in institutional certificate programs. Students enrolled in a certificate program in conjunction with a degree program must meet admission requirements for the degree program. All courses for the certificate program must be taken for credit. For more information
