Pellissippi State offers job fair for adjunct faculty positions
If you have a love of teaching and an interest in a part-time position, then you won’t want to miss Pellissippi State Technical Community College’s first-ever job fair for adjunct faculty on May 22.Pellissippi State needs individuals to fill numerous part-time adjunct faculty positions for the fall semester. The college decided to hold the job fair as a way to give potential applicants a chance to ask department heads and program coordinators questions about the openings in their areas.
Also, since the college has experienced record enrollment for both fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters, continued growth is anticipated.
Most positions are for day courses, and most require a master’s degree in related area and 18 graduate hours in the teaching field.
The fair will be held 7-8:30 p.m. in the Goins Administration Building Cafeteria Annex on the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road.
Positions are available in many areas from Accounting and Chemistry to Hospitality and Political Science. Also, positions are available with the college’s Business and Community Services department.
