Pellissippi State hosts student design showcase

Students in the Communication Graphics Technology concentration at Pellissippi State Technical Community College will exhibit some of their best work at the CGT Student Design Showcase April 26 in the Goins Student Lounge of the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road.

The annual exhibit and professional critique of student portfolios is 4-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

CGT is part of the college’s Media Technologies program, along with Photography, Video Production Technology and Web Technology. Students who complete the program earn an Associate of Applied Science degree and are prepared to enter a variety of media-related careers.

David Gilbert, associate professor and coordinator of CGT, especially encourages graphic design professionals and others interested in the design industry to attend.

Most of the participating students will graduate this May.
