Feb. 20, 2008 Pellissippi State ’s Adult Education offers free GED practice test The Adult Education Program at Pellissippi State Technical Community College is offering a free General Educational Development practice test on March 15. The testing will take place at the Cansler Family YMCA, 616 Jessamine St., and at the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road. “About 70 percent of adults who take the GED test pass it,” said Joan Newman, supervisor of Adult Education at Pellissippi State. On average, Tennesseans who earn their GED diploma can expect $7,000 more per year in wages. The GED practice test will start at 8:30 a.m. and last approximately five hours, including a lunch break. Test-takers must be 18 years of age and have a valid photo ID card. To sign up or find out more, call the Adult Education Program at (865) 539-7109.
