March 5, 2008 Books (and more) sale set at Pellissippi State Bookworms on a budget will find plenty of bargains at the annual Faculty Senate Book Sale at Pellissippi State Technical Community College later this month. Proceeds from the sale, which is open to the public, go to the Pellissippi State Foundation to provide student scholarships. Prices will range from 50 cents to $4. Vida Hashemian, associate professor of Communication Graphics Technology and one of three sale coordinators, says that more than books will be available. “Our sale also includes music and movies on CD, DVD and videotape, as well as puzzles, general interest magazines and computer games. “We have an extremely large inventory of books this year, so I think we’ll have something for just about everyone.” Sale dates and times vary according to campus: Blount County Center, March 17-18, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; March 19, 8:30-noon Division Street Campus, March 18-19, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Magnolia Street Campus, March 19-20, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Pellissippi Campus, March 25-26, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Hashemian’s graphic design students created the sale’s promotional artwork, including an original cartoon character named Biblio.
