The Mother’s Day gift that keeps on giving: Pellissippi State Adult Education

Give your mom one of the best Mother’s Day gifts possible: Enroll in free classes through the Adult Education program at Pellissippi State Technical Community College!

Whether you want to improve basic skills or earn your GED, the Adult Education program at Pellissippi State is the place to start. The program offers free classes in basic reading, writing, and math skills; GED preparation; and English for speakers of other languages.

You can work at your own pace in a small class, and Adult Education provides individual tutors if you need help.

Courses are offered at two locations: the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road in West Knoxville and the Magnolia Avenue Campus in East Knoxville. Day and evening classes are available.

Expanding your education is not just a great gift to your mother—it can also be a lifetime gift to yourself. According to the U.S. Bureau of Census report for 2000, 70 percent of high school graduates were employed, compared to only 49 percent of high school dropouts.
