April 4, 2008 Pellissippi State presents free Spring Ensemble Concert April 15 Music and taxes: not normally associated. But this year, whether you’ve had to pay and need to calm down or you’re getting a refund and want to celebrate, a free evening of music will take your mind off the IRS. Tax day, April 15, Pellissippi State Technical Community College hosts the Spring Ensemble Concert. The event is open to the public, and there’s plenty of free parking. Four ensembles—harp, brass, guitar and small instrumental—will perform, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road. Each group will be on for 15 minutes. “There will be a great variety of music, including classical and Celtic,” said Bill Brewer, associate professor of Music and concert director. Donations to the Music Scholarship fund will be gratefully accepted. The college’s next concert, the Spring Choral Concert, is Tuesday, April 24, 8 p.m., also in the Performing Arts Center.
