Major responsibilities: Secretarial work for
assistant dean and faculty as needed: answer phones, maintain
monthly activity calendar, interview work-study students and handle
their paperwork, order office supplies, design fliers for activities,
prepare classroom schedules for each semester, serve as campus
photographer and serve as treasurer for Support Staff Council.
Length of service at the College: 8.5 years
Place of birth: Loudon County
Family members: Son, daughter, two granddaughters
and one grandson in Lenoir City; one son and two grandsons in
Evansville, Indiana. Jay and I live in Morgan County, and we have
a home in Arcadia, Florida, where he is spending this winter.
Something no one knows about you: I have a true
“guardian angel” that I know personally.
Greatest
achievement or proudest moment: My greatest achievement
was having my children, and my proudest moment was when I accepted
God into my heart.
Favorite things outside work: Travel, reading
and spending time with family.
Most rewarding part of your job: The students
and people I work with.
Most influential person in your life and why:
Eunice Reynolds and John Hatfield. If it were not for them, I
would not be here today. They gave me the strength/opportunity
to go on through a very difficult time in my life.
