Cafeteria named ‘Dining Center of the Year’

The Cafeteria has just been named “Dining Center of the Year” by Compass Group, the world’s leading food service company.

The award was presented during a banquet in Orlando, Florida, on November 22. Nearly 100 employees of Compass Group were presented with various awards during the ceremony.

Competitors were judged on such factors as sales increases.

Jennifer Tallon, food service director, accepted the award on behalf of the Cafeteria staff.

“It meant a lot for us as a group to be recognized,” said Tallon. “We see it as a huge accomplishment that we were chosen out of about 600 dining centers.”

Cafeteria employees received individual certificates recognizing their accomplishment.

As part of their reward, Tallon and other winners spent three days in Florida. While there, they attended a luau and spent a day at Universal Studios.
