Queener takes on affirmative action review duties

Karen Queener is now the College’s director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action. With this title change, Queener assumes responsibility for all areas of affirmative action and compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, as well as coordination of the College’s compliance with Titles VI and IX.

She also will be responsible for the College’s sexual harassment training program and maintenance of the College’s organizational chart.

Human Resources will remain an office within the College Advancement Division.

Queener, who has bachelor and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Tennessee, has been at Pellissippi State since 1988. She has been in Human Resources since 1991.

She also is co-president of the Tennessee chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources and serves on the Human Resources Advisory Committee for the Tennessee Board of Regents.
