Workshop on small-business marketing, networking set for March
Small-business owners and operators can learn how to improve their
marketing efforts through a three-part seminar offered March 1-15.
“Marketing and Networking Your Micro-Business” is
aimed at individuals who operate small, client-service businesses
such as freelance workers, massage therapists, nutritionists,
life coaches, social workers, physical therapists in private practice
and similar practitioners.
The 90-minute workshops will take place 6:30-8 p.m. on the Pellissippi
Campus March 1, 8 and 15.
Sue Painter, a former executive director of a 4,000-member international
training network who owns Touch Therapy Center and Travel Wise,
will lead the seminar. Her two businesses depend on low-cost but
highly effective marketing combined with “extreme”
customer service.
The seminar will cover such topics as low-cost marketing, effective
customer service, how to make newsletters work and public relations.
Participants are encouraged to bring any advertising materials
or marketing plans that they are using. The fee is $95, which
includes resource materials.
To register call Business and Community Services, 539-7167, or
contact Nancy Corum, 687-6587 or ncorum@pstcc.edu for additional
information.
