Favorite quote: “Do not select for reading all kinds of trashy novels or works of insignificant authors. But read such novels as are considered the finest in the literary world, and such scientific works as are considered the standard by men of high learning. Study history for information, scientific, and philosophical works to strengthen your mind and purify and exalt your character, and novels to beautify your composition.”
