Inside Pellissippi

Scholarship application deadline fast approaching

March 15 is the priority deadline for students and potential students to apply for a scholarship from the Pellissippi State Foundation for the 2007-2008 academic year.

More than 250 academic and service scholarships are available through the Foundation. Awards are based on need, academic achievement, talent and/or professional ambition, and their value ranges from a few hundred dollars to full tuition and fees.

For most scholarships, students must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and a Pellissippi State scholarship application. A single scholarship application allows students to compete for every Foundation scholarship.

Applications submitted by March 15 will receive first consideration. Those turned in after that will be considered only if funds remain available.

The Pellissippi State Foundation exists to develop friends and funds for support of the educational, cultural and service goals of Pellissippi State.
