Finding marketing jobs to be seminar focus

Finding jobs in marketing and other business fields will be the topic of two American Marketing Association (AMA) meetings at Pellissippi State in March and April.

The programs are part of the “Future of Marketing” series sponsored by the AMA student chapter at Pellissippi State.

Recent graduates of the E-Commerce/Marketing program will describe their jobs and how they got them March 29 at 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium. The students also will talk about what they learned in the program that helped them and what they had to learn on the job, and they will provide advice for current students.

Laura Barron of The Barron Group will talk about “Interviewing for Your Future Career” April 12 at 12:30 p.m., also in the Goins auditorium. The Barron Group is a business consulting firm that specializes in seminars, workshops, strategic planning and management retreats.

The first session should be of special interest to E-Commerce/Marketing students, students in all majors are invited to the second session.
