Inside Pellissippi

College offers free events for Women’s History Month

Pellissippi State is celebrating Women’s History Month by offering free events in March. All are open to the public and are on the Pellissippi Campus.

Here’s the schedule:
  • “Women in Politics: A Tale by Two Women”—Tuesday, March 13, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Goins Auditorium. Madeline Rogero, former county commissioner and current director of Community Development for the City of Knoxville, and Gay Lyons, professor of English at Pellissippi State, will speak.
  • “Women in Art”—Wednesday, March 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Goins Student Lounge. Eight women from the college and community will demonstrate women’s creative arts.
  • “Women and Globalization”—Thursday, March 15, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Goins Student Lounge. Tyra Barrett will lead a panel discussion. Barrett is an associate professor and the program coordinator of Business Administration.
