Tennessee Tech plans advanced educational degrees at Pellissippi State

Local teachers who want to upgrade their teaching credentials but not travel a long distance to do so can learn about plans to offer two advanced degree programs through Pellissippi State that are designed specifically for Knoxville area educators.

Tennessee Technological University wants to offer a master’s degree and educational specialist’s degree in curriculum and in instructional leadership by offering classes at Pellissippi State. An explanation of these programs will be given April 7 at 4:30 p.m. in Room 227 of the Alexander Building. The classes will be offered if there is enough interest, officials say.

For additional information, contact Debbie Thurman at the Tennessee Tech campus in Crossville, (931) 484-7413 or dethurman@tntech.edu; Sharon Goodman of Tennessee Tech’s office at Pellissippi State, 694-6474 or sgoodman@tntech.edu; or Patty Benton at 694-6524.
