Spring Ensemble Concert set for April 15

Music and taxes: not normally associated. But this year, whether you’ve had to pay and need to calm down or you’re getting a refund and want to celebrate, a free evening of music will take your mind off the IRS.

Tax day, April 15, Pellissippi State is hosting the Spring Ensemble Concert. The event is open to the public.

Four ensembles—harp, brass, guitar and small instrumental—will perform, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Each group will be on for 15 minutes.

“There will be a great variety of music, including classical and Celtic,” said Bill Brewer, associate professor of Music and concert director.

Donations to the Music Scholarship fund will be gratefully accepted. The College’s next concert, the Spring Choral Concert, is Tuesday, April 24, 8 p.m., also in the Performing Arts Center.

For more information, contact Bill Brewer at 694-6701.
