Job seekers needed for 2008 Spring Job Fair/Mas Trabajos

Do you know someone who is looking for a job? Then make sure he or she attends the Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center’s 2008 Spring Job Fair/Mas Trabajos April 17, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Magnolia Avenue Campus.

Representatives from various industries, including business and technology, customer and financial services, health care, food service and skilled trades will be on hand to meet prospective employees.

The event and parking are free.

The job fair is expected to attract a wide cross-section of employers and potential employees, in part because it’s a bilingual event. This year’s fair is a three-pronged effort by the Career Center, Pellissippi State and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee.

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee’s mission is to advocate, promote and facilitate the success of Hispanic businesses, professionals and workers in the region, as well as to assist local businesses in reaching the Hispanic market.

Since 2001, the Career Center has provided workforce development services to connect employers and job seekers. Those services include applicant screening and job postings and referrals, along with resume and cover letter assistance and other employment skills training.
For more information on the Career Center or the job fair, contact Bryan May at 329-3166.
