Library director receives award
Peter Nerzak, the director of Library Services at Pellissippi State, has received the Tennessee Library Association's (TLA) Honor Award. He was presented the award at the TLA conference held March 17-19 in Knoxville. Nerzak was given the award for his role in helping the Tennessee Board of Regents Virtual Library to become an integral part of the Regents Online Degree Programs. Nerzak was also awarded for his efforts in working with TBR to purchase electronic books for use by participating libraries that resulted in a significant cost savings to those libraries.
The Tennessee Library Association promotes the establishment and maintenance of adequate library services for all people in the state. The association also initiates and supports legislation promoting library development and monitors legislation that affects Tennessee libraries and librarians.
