New non-credit course on edible wild plants is offeredDiscover the wide range of edible wild plants found in fields and woods, on roadsides and in your own backyard. Pellissippi State is offering a new non-credit course, “Exploring Wild Edible Plants,” on April 17, 10-1 p.m.The class will take a field trip to identify plants that can be used to spice up recipes. Participants will also have the opportunity to taste some prepared foods that use wild plants. Beryl Lumpkin, the instructor, has taught classes on this topic for 25 years. She has also written several articles and books on the uses of mountain plants.
