Covenant Health Check returns to Pellissippi State

The College will host Covenant Health Check 2007 on the Pellissippi Campus April 18. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Goins Student Lounge.

The event is open to everyone, and it’s free.

Free health screenings such as blood pressure, vision, lung function and body fat analysis will be offered, and health and wellness information will be available. Additionally, numerous health-care professionals will be on hand to answer your health questions.

A comprehensive blood analysis is available for $20. Fasting for 12 hours is required for the comprehensive screening, but those with diabetes should consult their physician first. It’s okay to drink water and continue taking medications.

The Complete Blood Count test is offered for $15. Thyroid, prostate and heart disease risk tests also are available for $20.
