Pellissippi State’s Small Business Development Center wins excellence award
The Knoxville area Tennessee Small Business Development Center office, an affiliate of Pellissippi State, has been chosen to receive the first Excellence and Innovation Center Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Tennessee district office in Nashville. (more)
VPT students win grand prize in Scripps competition
 At 7:30 on the morning of April 14, Ella Ruggles, assistant professor of Video Production Technology, sat nervously at home at her computer.
She was watching the votes come in. She had encouraged the students in her script-writing class to enter an online video contest. But would they win the grand prize? She would know when the contest ended at 8 a.m. (more)

Russian student earns second degree from Pellissippi State
 Anastasia Aksenova’s mother was at her daughter’s graduation from Pellissippi State May 2.
Unlike most parents attending the ceremony, though, she had to leave home nearly a full day before the event to get there on time. (more)
