Wood receives ‘Executive of Year’ honor

Julia Wood, who has directed the Community Relations Office at the College since 1994, has been named Executive of the Year by the Oak Ridge chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Wood was cited for her departmental leadership, motivational skills and support of her staff. The Community Relations Office coordinates the College’s various marketing, media and public relations activities in Knox and Blount counties.

Wood earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a master’s from Memphis State University. Before coming to Pellissippi State, she worked 10 years in the public relations office at Memphis State.
